Health and Beauty Canadian College
Health and Beauty Canadian College (HBCC) offers a comprehensive Personal Support Worker (PSW) Diploma Program designed to prepare students for rewarding and in-demand careers within Canada’s healthcare system. This program is approved as a vocational program under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005 and meets provincial standards for PSW education and training.
The PSW program is delivered in a condensed 24-week format (less than six months), combining structured theoretical instruction with supervised practical training and a mandatory clinical practicum. Students may choose to complete the theory component online or in person, while all hands-on skills training and practicum experiences are delivered in person to ensure full competency development.
The Personal Support Worker plays a vital role in hospitals, long-term care homes, retirement residences, and community-based healthcare settings. HBCC’s PSW Diploma Program equips students with the essential knowledge, clinical skills, professionalism, and ethical standards required to provide safe, compassionate, and effective care to individuals across the lifespan.
Graduates are prepared to support clients with activities of daily living, personal hygiene, mobility, nutrition, emotional well-being, and basic clinical care while working as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
